Darren gained a wealth of experience with Asia’s largest international health insurance brokerage. He combined the best features of his large-firm experience with his in-depth knowledge and insight into the international market to establish this specialist advisory.
Under Darren’s management, independent judging panels have recognised Global Albatross with awards for Best International Intermediary, Best Adviser to Individual Clients and as a global leader in Customer Service.
Having seen the challenges expats face in accessing adequate care overseas, Darren ensures Global Albatross is dedicated to ensuring clients’ get the right cover for their needs and receive the maximum benefits entitled to under their policy.
Ali has travelled the world, living, working and playing in fascinating countries and experiencing the joys and challenges that expats often encounter while overseas.
Ali joins the team having returned from a lengthy stint offshore and most recently working as Executive Officer for the New Zealand Government in China. She applies her expertise to the day-to-day operations and quality of service that Global Albatross delivers its clients.

Richard has over 15 years’ experience in international health insurance, global mobility, and assistance services. He helped establish the Chinese operations for one of Europe’s largest health insurance companies and managed business growth throughout Asia Pacific.
Having worked in senior positions with two of the world’s largest assistance companies, and with hands-on experience in managing medical emergencies, Richard has built in-depth knowledge of the industry and how it operates.
Richard is well-placed to support new and existing clients seeking the best possible cover that matches their needs. He works effectively to assist clients in navigating foreign medical systems and ensures all processes are adhered to along the way.
Early in his career Tom cut his teeth in the banking and financial services sector before shifting his focus and delving into his love of marketing.
Tom has more than 18 years experience in the industry both establishing and running his own agency. He’s a creator and innovator, a person with a passion for social and digital media mixed with technology and advertising, and works his magic managing the brand and marketing of Global Albatross.
